Turning Your Calendar Months Into Framed Art

One of our favorite features of our yearly Scripture Calendar is how you can trim each month’s artwork into an easy-to-frame 8x10 art print! This way you can enjoy the artwork for years to come, or use them as gifts to give your friends & family.

Enjoy this simple step-by-step guide to help you turn each month into beautiful framed art.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Scissors, an 8x10in frame (or frame with an 8x10in mat), and some low-tack tape if you’re matting your artwork.

I love finding affordable frames this size at Goodwill, but you can find them almost anywhere such as Target, IKEA, Walmart, Michaels, and JoAnne.

Step 1

Single out the month you are about to trim from the rest of the pages of the calendar, making sure there are no pages below where you are about to cut. DO NOT try to rip or tear out the design as you will risk ripping the art.

Step 2

Using your scissors, cut just below the square punches & round divot at the top. This doesn’t have to be perfect. Once framed, you won’t be able to see the edges!

Step 3

Using your scissors, cut as close as possible along the bottom edge of the artwork. Again, it’s okay if it’s not perfect! The frame will cover your edges.

Step 4

Place the artwork into any 8x10in frame or mat! Hang it on your wall or wrap it up as a thoughtful gift for someone you know!
